Fall Festival
The Fall Festival is a themed recital in which students perform a single piece that is adjudicated on musicality and technique.
Eligibility to enter: ONE memorized piece no longer than 4 minutes according to the annually selected theme. All compositions written for the original instrument and all levels are eligible. NO REPEATS, D.C. is okay. One movement of a sonata/sonatina is allowed. Piano entries are limited to original works, no lesson/method books. No duplicate pieces within a studio will be permitted. Entries must be 16 measures minimum - all others are subject to variance committee approval. If you have questions about repertoire exceptions please email the festival chair.

2024 Theme: Road Trip!
Music with a title or from a set that is a mode of transportation and/or a destination. We are also including titles that specify a location or culture. The music/sound itself alluding to the theme is not enough to qualify.
(examples: Spanish Dances by Granados. Venus, Land of Mystery by Catherine Rollin. California Porcupine Rag by William Bolcom. Valley d’Obermann by Franz Liszt.)
